Fine Arts Summer Academy with the Annie Moses Band attracts more than 200 students from all over the world to Nashville every year. Once in town, the kids – which range in age from 4 years old to 20 years old – are taught by faculty from the nation’s top fine arts schools including Juilliard and Berklee College of Music.

The 2013 camp will present its finale gala on Thursday night with a concert by the students and will include performances from self-described baroque pop group Annie Moses Band, country singer Jimmy Wayne and Alison Krauss and Union Station’s Ron Block at The Grand Ole Opry House. Dubbed Rhapsody in Bluegrass, the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will combine strings, brass, woodwinds, piano, and drama with a 70-voice choir for a presentation that Annie Moses Band’s Annie Dupre calls “really very epic.”

The program accepts students of any skill level and provides music that is written in a way that allows everyone to perform together.

“We’re providing students not only a great opportunity and a great moment of inspiration, but we’re uniting them with people like Ron and Jimmy who are consummate professionals at what they do,” Dupre says. “But, they have a sense of helping students along that journey because everyone starts somewhere.”

Tickets to Rhapsody in Bluegrass are $25-$35 at www.rhapsodyinbluegrass.com.
